banana, milk, and groundnut smoothie: this is wild

So, I randomly came across this combo: banana, milk, and groundnuts. Like, who came up with this concoction? Anyway, supposedly it’s for people looking to gain weight, and I get it—a calorie bomb disguised as health food.

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I mean, bananas are a staple in my kitchen (a necessary evil to avoid the dreaded mid-afternoon slump), and milk is, well, it’s just milk. Not much to say there. But groundnuts? Not my usual go-to, unless we’re talking about that one time I tried making peanut butter and ended up with a kitchen disaster.

Anyway, I gave it a shot. Threw a banana, a glass of full-fat milk (none of that skim nonsense), and a handful of groundnuts into a blender. The sound it made was pretty terrifying, like it was going to take off or something. But when it stopped, what came out was this thick, creamy smoothie that actually looked like something you might find in a fancy cafe.

Gotta say, it wasn’t bad. The sweetness of the banana really does the heavy lifting here (bless its wholesome heart), while the milk just makes everything smooth. And the groundnuts? They add this subtle nuttiness that somehow makes the whole thing taste more decadent. Not gonna lie, it’s kind of genius in a ‘who would have thought’ kind of way.

Oh, and get this, it’s packed with all the stuff you’d expect to find on a quirky health guru’s blog. Just without the preachy vibe. My eyes are still adjusting to this newfound respect I have for these ingredients. My kitchen counter is now a shrine to smoothies. Great, another obsession. Ugh.
